VINIFICATION

Grande Provence Shiraz is a thoroughbred Franschhoek Wine crafted from vineyards high on the southwest facing slopes of the Franschhoek Mountains. The 2017 vintage was an excellent year, resulting in a full ripe expression of Shiraz. This wine captures all the classic characteristics of this grape variety.

The wine was oak matured for 21 months in 30% new French oak.

STYLE

This medium-bodied red wine teems with ripe blackberries, blackcurrent, plum and fruitcake, with hints of toffee, vanilla, licorice and mulled spice followed by delicate white pepper nuances on the nose and palate. Soft tannins and well-integrated oak make this a plush red wine.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS

This Shiraz can be enjoyed with smoked meats and charcuterie, game dishes and red meat with an intense pepper sauce.
